POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES & PRONOUNS IN ITALIAN

Today I’ll teach you how to say the following words in Italian: MY, MINE, YOUR(S), HIS, HER(S), OUR(S), THEIR(S).

Did you recognize them?

They are the possessive pronouns and adjectives.

Surely you’ll need them to tell people what’s yours and what it isn’t. So don’t miss this new Italian lesson!

POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES AND PRONOUNS IN ITALIAN

Before we jump into how to say the possessive adjectives and pronouns, remember that in Italian the names have a gender.

This means that all words in a sentence must agree with the gender of the noun they refer to. 

In other words, if I’m talking about my book (LIBRO) which in Italian is masculine, then I’ll use the word MY in the masculine form.

But if I’m speaking of my house (CASA) then I’ll say MY in the feminine form.
